Cement siding will withstand better to decay and fungus. There is no rotting or decomposing like wood often does, best of all burrowing insects such as termites and carpenter ants can’t damage cement siding. Although this siding product originated with asbestos materials many years ago, the current cement siding does not present the same health risks.
